Since its inception in 2008, Nature Nurture has received some very generous grants. We are enormously grateful that others have seen the value in what we do and considered us a worthwhile investment at a time when there is ever growing pressure on finite financial resources.
These are the grants we have received to date:
Jennifer and Michael’s Advent Fair Fundraising
Thank You! Every year, Jennifer and Michael Fuchs setup stall at the Newton Dee Advent Fair and sell the most wonderful products. All of them are handmade! Over the past few years, they have very generously donated their profits to Nature Nurture. This year we received a donation of £520 for which we are very grateful. We have earmarked this money to buy some more, much needed, warm clothing for our children to ensure they stay snug and dry in the cold months of the year.
Graham Walker’s Haircut Challenge raised over £2,200
Graham Walker is having his hair cut for charity! After 30 years of growing and wearing it long, Graham decided to have his hair shaved off, but did it to raise money for Nature Nurture. He raised over £2000!
Sponsored climb up Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro Charity Challenge A Sponsored climb of Kilimanjaro has raised thousands for Nature Nurture. In October 2012, Richard Harrison, Richard Pead, Nigel Flory, Ned Skelton and Grace Breathe challenged themselves on the slopes of Kilimanjaro and raised cash for charity in the process.
The Nature Nurture Team would like to express its heartfelt thanks to all the climbers involved in this challenge. Well done!
Coast to Coast 7
Charity Cycle Ride 22nd-24th May 2015 Every year since 2009, the Coast to Coast group have ridden the 250+ miles across Scotland from West to East in order to raise money for charity. In 2015, Nature Nurture was lucky enough to be one of the beneficiaries of this amazing event. They raised an incredible £120,000 which was split between 3 charities.
Tim Wells Donation
Through his generous donation at the end of 2013, Tim Wells made it possible for us to continue with some of our 2 — 5 year olds who were part of the group that we started in autumn 2013. We were joined by three new children this time. We referred to this group as the Tim Wells group.
